Meet Your Providers

Elowyn J. Samadhi, PhD, SEP

I am a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY32361, PSY.0006427), psychedelic therapist, and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP). In addition to my work at Tethered Healing, I also work at Sage Integrative Health, a Bay Area holistic psychedelic clinic. I offer individual therapy in Colorado (in-person & virtually) & to virtually to residents of California and anyone living in the 42-PsyPACT approved states (https://psypact.gov/page/psypactmap).

I specialize in the assessment and treatment of PTSD, anxiety, depression, and moral injury. I am trained in relational depth work, psychedelic-assisted therapies, Somatic Experiencing, and numerous evidence-based PTSD interventions. I find deep meaning from and prefer doing Shadow Work with people. I have been working in the psychedelic field for a decade and find great meaning in providing harm reduction to those who use psychedelics. I work best with adults age 30 and older who are ready and willing to do deep, excavating work

I prioritize working from a decolonized framework and after a decade of clinical work, I believe mind-body-spirit integration is the path to wholeness. I am a proponent of both naturopathic and allopathic healing approaches. I am very committed to my own personal growth, healing, and development, as it allows me to continuously deepen how I work with people. I regularly take time for personal retreat and prioritize a balanced life.

In addition to my work with my clients, I enjoy homesteading, doing vipassana meditation and sadhana, hiking in the Rocky Mountains, sketching, and painting. I love reading historical non-fiction and way too many books on consciousness and spirituality. I also dabble with herbalism and enjoy wildcrafting and make my own tea blends. The bedrock of my spiritual path is pluralistic, tantric, animistic, and pagan.

I incorporate numerous other philosophies and systems including Stoicism and the Enneagram. Having been raised in the forest, I aIso weave in exploring one’s relationship with nature, when someone is open to that. I work from a culturally-informed strengths-based integrative approach. My style is direct, caring, cognitive, and encouraging.

I value working with people who are ready to do deep weekly work. More specifically, I value deeply investing in your healing and growth and expect the same from you. As a veteran, I proudly treat military personnel, veterans, and their family members in addition to civilians. I enjoy working with adults of all ages especially young adults who are searching for their path in life.

As a lifelong builder, I enjoy spending time working on our homestead, welding and woodworking. In my spare time, I also find great satisfaction building cars. Before becoming a therapist, I was a writer and still enjoy working on various short-essays and poetry projects.
